Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you to improve postures, balance, as well as your breathing and outlook on Life.
The Mai Ram Yoga method of asanas is a physical and mental practice that helps to foster concentration and develop not only the body, but also the mind in order for the practitioner to preserve the physical and mental well-being.
A consistent practice according to the Mai Ram Yoga method of asanas gradually releases the accumulated tension from the body, anxiety, and a variety of other factors affecting personality. That is a unique feature of the Mai Ram Yoga practice of asanas, which is different from the worldly exercises, gymnastics or physical training.
Yoga not only helps improve your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body.
Guru Mai Ram is a successor of the sampradaya or lineage of Aghora Kapali Nath yogis. Mai Ram has been given the spiritual power and knowledge of the yogi tradition. Initiates into this sadhana receive a spiritual name ending in the mantra ‘Ram’, which means divinity. Since 2009, Guru Mai Ram has conducted the sadhana at the Hari Ram Ashram in Varanasi, India, and since 2010 at the initiated Mai Ram Yoga Ashram in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Guru Mai Ram is the founder of the Mai Ram International Yoga Association. The association has been established for the purpose of developing and spreading the Nath yogi teaching according to the classical integrated Mai Ram Yoga, organizing courses, workshops, retreats and collaborating with allied organisations in the World.
Mai Ram Yoga is a classical yoga integrated by Guru Mai Ram for a present-day human to foster self-knowledge.
The purpose of Mai Ram Yoga is to mature practitioner’s inner consciousness and its expansion, transcending the limitations created by the mind and body. Continuous development of self-knowledge through the inner will and consciousness leads toward the purpose, until finally consciousness rises above the mental level. Determined efforts, devotion, development of body and mind allow a practitioner to achieve knowledge of the true nature. Such path of self-knowledge is the main purpose of the integrated Mai Ram Yoga teaching.
Yoga came into my life in 2010. A year later I met my Guru Mai Ram and started practicing Mai Ram Yoga.
With years of practice, I began to observe that yoga gave much more than exercises for the body, it also improved my sleeping, physical and emotional well-being, opened the perspective of conciseness.
In 2014 I decided to deepen understanding and knowledge of Yoga and became Mai Ram Yoga Basic teacher. In 2017 Guruji initiated me into Yoga Adhikari (advanced yoga teacher). Every year I attend Mai Ram Yoga retreats in Lithuania and India.
I am still amazed by the beauty and the depth of Yoga philosophy and practice, which smoothly connects body, mind, and soul and broadens understanding of this Life.
Now I live in Valencia (Spain). I give classes in English, Spanish, Russian and Lithuanian.
In 2021 we will invite to Mai Ram Yoga Retreats near Valencia between mountains and the Mediterranean sea, where You are invited to start your yoga path or deepen your yoga practices according to traditional Yoga teachings.
I am grateful to Guru Mai Ram for the practice of yoga, which I would be honored to share with You and pass the knowledge given by Guruji.
